Steve Newton passed away Monday morning, October 20, 2025, at NHC Pulaski surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pulaski, Tennessee on September 6, 1954 and was 71 years old. Steve was retired from Canter Oil-Southern Energy where he was employed for 45 years. He worked in the petroleum business for 54 years. Steve was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. He loved riding motorcycles and horseback riding. Steve also loved driving his truck, antique cars and antique vehicles.
The visitation will be 4:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 1:00pm Friday, October 24, 2025 in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Thomas and Bro. Rob Augustin officiating.
The burial will follow in the Johns Cemetery in Giles County, Tennessee.
Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Hospital or New Zion Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Mary Jane Roberts Newton, brother Brent Newton, and nephew, Samuel Newton.
He is survived by his; Wife of 50 years, Dot Newton of Pulaski, TN, Son, Chad (Diane) Newton of Pulaski, TN, Son, Matt Newton of Madison, AL,
Grandchildren, Trevan (Adrienne) Newton, Connor Newton, Mallory Newton, and Cayden Newton, Brothers, Tim (Velena) Newton of Pulaski, and Jonathan “Bud” (Julie) Newton of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Sister-in-law, Gail Moore Newton of Elkton, TN, Brothers-in-law, Fagan (Frances King of Pulaski, TN, Jerry Wayne “Pee-Wee” King of Pulaski, TN, Wayne (Angie) King of Pulaski, TN, Sister-in-law, Annie McDougal of Columbia, TN,
