She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Deacon Joe Louis Patterson, and her daughters Ronnie Laverne Patterson and Janice Crowder. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend.
She was baptized at an early age and remained faithful and earned the esteemed position of Mother at Lewter’s Chapel.
Mother Patterson worked many years at Genesco Footwear in Lewisburg, afterwards she and Deacon Patterson owned and operated their own mercantile. She also served as Deacon Mother for the Elks Benevolent and Charitable Organization.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed and remembered.
Ruth Lee Patterson is survived by her loving and devoted adult children, her son Randolph Patterson, three daughters, Janice Crowder, Judith Patterson, and Joeleen (Henry) Magraff all of Charlotte, North Carolina, seventeen grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 1:00 pm till the funeral hour of 2:pm Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Farmers Indian Creek M.B. Tabernacle in Elkton.
Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Please continue to keep the family of Ruth Lee Patterson in your thoughts and prayers.
