Randall Thornton of Pulaski, TN passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Athens, AL on December 8, 1964, and was 60 years old. Randall was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Known for his love of deer hunting and fishing, Randall found joy in moments outdoors. He had a knack for chess and a talent for drawing. Randall was someone you could always count on for good conversation. He had a great sense of humor and never failed to make others smile. Randall always took pride in his yard work. Above all, Randall was a devoted Christian who wanted everyone to know that his journey was ultimately about his faith in God. He hoped that even in his passing, he could bring others closer to their faith.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at LifePoint Pentecostal Church.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 12:00pm at LifePoint Pentecostal Church.
The burial will be in Athens City Cemetery in Athens, AL.
Randall was preceded in death by, his parents, Robert and Clara Johnson Thornton, grandfather, William Thornton, grandmother, Mary Toone, granddaughter, Abigail Rain Thornton, and uncle, Ronadl Johnson.
He is survived by, His wife, Hattie Dru Dollar Thornton of Pulaski, TN, Son, Blake (Megan) Thornton of Athens, Al, Daughter, Tina (Joshua) Thornton Adams of Athens, AL, Grandchildren, Gabriel Brown, Luke Brown, Sarah Adams, Pheirce Thornton, Henslee Thornton, Teirani Thornton, and Athena Thornton, Sister, Rhonda Thornton of Pulaski, TN, Brothers, Rusty Thornton of Ardmore, AL, James (Christy McGuire) Thornton of Athens, AL,
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
