Randall “Randy” Butler Roller passed away Monday November 10, 2025 at Maury Regional Hospital. Born July 22, 1962, Randall "Randy" Butler Roller showed a zest for life from a young age. He adored, in equal parts, growing up in his father's shoe shop and his precious country paradise of Sumac. Many tales have been told of his exploits there with both family and friends; we are sure to hear more in the years to come. He attended Beech Hill School until consolidation, after which he came to Giles County High School to stir up trouble and meet the great love of his life, Melissa Felker Roller, in the graduating class of 1980. After high school, he completed his accounting degree summa cum laude at Martin Methodist College and Liberty University, although he always claimed that his daughter Elizabeth was his highest honor.
Outside of a long career at Franks Vending Service, Randy was a man of many talents and a multitude of well-loved interests: Civil War reenactments, playing live music, pool sharking at many establishments, most recently at the Senior Citizen's Center after his retirement, training Labrador Retrievers, watching movies, and reminiscing with his loved ones. He was also known as a world-class family historian who dedicated hours to researching his lineage. Many residents of the local nursing homes anticipated his weekly visits. Most of all, he spent time in devotion to family and his Lord Jesus Christ. Randy was an ardent man of faith who placed his entire spirit in service of the church. Now, he has gone on to his final reward.

Randy is preceded in death by father Raymond Roller and mother Clara Lou Roller, as well as his grandparents, beloved great uncle Roscoe Newton, treasured in-laws, Jerry and Elizabeth Felker, and lifelong best friend Phillip Townsend.

He is survived by wife Melissa and daughter Elizabeth of Pulaski, sister Cindy (Andy) Stammer of Lewisburg, brother-in-law Steve Felker of Pulaski, and a collection of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and neighbors. All will miss Randy yet praise his return to his true home.

Visitation Thursday 11/13, 2025 from 12-2pm, Funeral will follow at 2 with burial in Maplewood Cemetery.

The family would like to thank everyone who showed compassion during this time, including the medical staff of Maury Regional Hospital.
Memorials may be made to the Giles County Public Library, the Giles County Senior Citizens Center, Rural Food Delivery, or charity of your choice.
