Joyce Garner Taylor, age 77, of the Fall River Community, passed away Sunday, October 26th, 2025 at her home in Leoma. Joyce was born on December 21st, 1947 to the late Luther Garner and Louise Garner in the Fall River Community. Joyce had a deep love for her family, and spent the early part of her adult life raising her children and grandchildren. In her later years she enjoyed serving her church community where she ran the card ministry, and volunteering in various organizations within her community, such as the FCE group, the Fall River Community Club, and The Red Hat Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and quilting, gardening, and spending time with her loving family and friends. She was a member of Fall River United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Taylor, and her brother, Larry Garner.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Miller (John), Kimberly Taylor, Justin Taylor; grandchildren, Lee Miller (Aaliyha) and Ian Miller, and great grandson, Alarec.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30th, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Friday, October 31st, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Brother Ben Luna will be officiating.
Interment will be held at Fall River Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
