James Elton Miller of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Giles County. He was born on April 12, 1945 in Goodspring, Tennessee and was 80 years old. James was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his time with his grandchildren. He served as a Commissioner for Giles County for many years and also was elected as Giles County Executive. James was an educator and coach in the Giles County School System. He was an avid golfer, and loved to fish and hunt. James never met a stranger.
The visitation will be 12:00pm until 2:00pm Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
The memorial service will follow at 2:00pm Sunday, November 30, 2025, in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ensley and Rosie Helton Miller, his wife Barbara Louise Sturdevant Miller along with four brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his,
Son, Steve (Beverly) Miller of Pulaski, Tennessee.
Daughter, Sherry (John) Jicka of Williamsburg, Virginia.
Son, Jason (Eron) Miller of Leeds, Alabama.
4 Grandchildren, Marley, Maddox, and Drew Miller, and Mili Jicka.
Special friend, Joyce Faye Reed of Pulaski, Tennessee.
