James “Buddy” Hickman of Goodspring, TN, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Southern Tennessee Regional Pulaski. He was born in Pulaski, Tennessee on November 11, 1955, and was 69 years old.
Buddy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was retired from Timkin and enjoyed working on his lawn equipment. Buddy loved to stay busy cutting numerous yards and just staying busy. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The funeral will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 1:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The burial will take place in Shores Memorial Gardens.
The family request memorial donations be made to the Shores Baptist Church c/o 916 Shores Rd, Goodspring, TN 38460.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Alvin and Esther Barnickle Hickman. Sisters, Dot Dickey, Peggy Attkisson, and Patsy Pratt. Son David Shelton and brother Robby Clark.
He is survived by,

Son, Jay Hickman of Goodspring, Tennessee.
Son, Josh Hickman of Tracy City, Tennessee.
Son, Patrick Hickman of Goodspring, Tennessee.
Grandchildren, Tyler Hickman, Charolette Sue Parsons Shelton, and Emilia Grace Crolius.
Sisters, Glenda Dickey of Etheridge, TN and Marylyn Dickey of Lawrenceburg, TN.
Daughter-in-law, Rebecca Parsons Shelton of Pulaski, Tennessee.
