George Will Gentry

George Will Gentry, 81, of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on November 19, 2025. Born on April 7, 1944, George lived a life shaped by the open road and the satisfaction of working with his hands. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Learlene and Robert L. Gentry; his brother, Thomas Gentry; and his sister, Sallie Ruth Black. 
George is survived by his wife, Marva Gentry; his children: Kay McNairy, Frank (Lori) Gentry, Kenny Gentry, Fredrick (Crystal) Gentry, William "Jody" (Lea) Gentry, and Tasha (Solomon) Coleman; his siblings: L.B. (late Betty) Gentry, Robert (Sherry) Gentry, Linda (Waymon) Reynolds, Alcyorn "Penny" (John Wade) White; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

George was loved by those who knew him best. In his own way, he made his mark on the lives of his family, and his memory will be carried forward by those who cherished him. For over 35 years, George made his living behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler, traveling countless miles across the country. The highway was where he felt most at home, and he took pride in his years as a professional truck driver. When he wasn't on the road, you could find George in his shed, tinkering with cars and fixing whatever needed attention. He had a knack for mechanics and found peace in the rhythm of working with engines and tools. Though George's journey had its turns and detours, he will be remembered for the life he built and the family he leaves behind. He will be truly missed. May he rest in peace.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

The funeral service will follow on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

The burial will be at Gilbert Cemetery.
