Frances Marie Ward passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at American House of Brentwood. She was born in Pulaski, Tennessee on January 27, 1934 and was 91 years old. Marie was a very caring, loving, and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved having family gatherings and getting to go on vacations with her family. Marie enjoyed cooking going to the beach and mountains. She loved to travel and was always ready to go. Marie had a big heart and always loved to help others.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 9:00am until 10:30am at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00am at Giles Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ward, parents, Sam and Ozell Harwell Mitchell, sisters, Lois Mitchell Faulkner, Carol Mitchell Williams, brothers, Clayton Mitchell, William Mitchell, and Morris Mitchell.
She is survived by her;
Son, Terry (Jonna) Ward of Nolensville, TN.
Son, Mike (Denise) Ward of Brentwood, TN.
Grandsons, Owen Ward, Mitchell (Kaylee) Ward, and Daniel Ward
Granddaughters, Samantha Ward and Lindsay Ward
6 Great grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
