    Charles Leslie Nowlin was born July 9, 1957 to the late Johnnie B. and Mary Payne
    Nowlin. He transitioned from this earthly life to his spiritual life on July 25, 2025 at
    Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
    He was married to Ella Louise Holbert Nowlin for forty-seven years. To this union one son
    was born, Charles Lamont Nowlin.
    He played a very important role in the lives of Eddie Nelson and Roman Braden.
    At an early age he faithfully attended the Church of Christ with his parents in Lynnville,
    Tennessee. After relocating to Pulaski, he attended Friendship AME Church now known as
    Friendship United Christian Center throughout the years supporting the church in any
    way he could as long as his health allowed.
    Charles was a graduate of Lynnville High School in Lynnville, Tenn. He continued to
    further his education by receiving a degree from Columbia State College in Radiology.
    He worked for Saint Thomas Hospital for 30 years later moving on to Athens, Alabama
    Health System for 10 years as an outstanding Radiology Tech until his health began to
    decline.
    He was a devoted husband, father, grand and great grandfather. He was loved by all who
    knew and met him.
    Those left to cherish his memory, his wife, Ella Louise Nowlin, Pulaski, TN; son, Charles
    Lamont Nowlin, Pulaski, TN; bonus children, Belinda Hairston and James Brown, both of
    Pulaski, TN; sister-in-law, Delores Young, Pulaski, TN; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-
    grandchildren; 2 beloved nephews. Ray Tucker, Pulaski, TN and John Thomas “Jonnie”
    Nowlin, Culleoka, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous other
    relatives and friends.
    Funeral service for Charles Leslie Nowlin will be held this Wednesday,
    July 30, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11:00am and the 12noon service immediately
    following at Jordan Funeral Home, 327 Mill Street Pulaski, TN.
    Interment will be in Rocky Point Cemetery on Chicken Creek Road.
    Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Charles Leslie Nowlin.
