Sheila Diane Gibson

Sheila Diane Gibson passed away May 11, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Unicoi County, TN on August 16, 1963 and was 62 years old. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was the proud business owner of Country Tan II where she spent many years building lasting friendships and making others feel welcome and beautiful. Outside of the salon, Sheila enjoyed the simple things in life; fishing on quite days, sewing, spending time outdoors surrounded by flowers and nature and making sure she never missed one of her children’s ballgames.  She also loved horses and treasured antiques. Above all, Sheila enjoyed spending time surrounded by her family. 

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Edna Adkins, Brother, Steven Adkins, Grandmother, Mary Franklin, along with several aunts and uncles. 

She is survived by, 
Son, Seth Cook of Pulaski, TN
Daughters, Shana Gibson (Cara) of Prospect, TN
Laura Turner (Randy) of Leoma, TN
Sister, Betty Jean “BJ” Schwab and Family of Cullman, AL
Brothers, Jimmy Adkins and Family of Elkton, TN
Eugene Adkins and Family of Goodspring, TN
Several Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews also survive.
