Russell “Rusty” Lynn Trapp, age 62, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away Monday, January 19th, 2026 at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. Rusty was born on September 9th, 1963 in Lawrenceburg. He worked for many years in construction as a dry wall hanger/finisher and a brick layer. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and spending time with his loving family and friends. He was of Church of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Travis “Bear” Carlton Trapp, and his brothers, Joel Trapp, Dana Dale Trapp, Michael Alan Winnings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Amy Trapp; mother, Betty Trapp; children, Casey Trapp, Hannah Trapp, and Chad Trapp; sisters, Melisa Gobble (Terry), Janet Trapp, and Lee Donna Trapp; brother, Todd Trapp (Donna); six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Jimmy Taylor Jr.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
