Marvenell Forsyth Burgess

Marvenell Forsyth Burgess, age 91 of Five Points, passed away Thursday June 12, 2025 at NHC Pulaski.

Marvenell was born February 12, 1934 in Minor Hill, TN to John Lee and Opal Glass Forsyth. She was a member of Lexington Church of Christ. Marvenell loved planting flowers, reading her Bible, and her homemade chocolate pie were always a favorite at Homecoming . Her guilty pleasure was getting to watch her Soap Opera’s, especially Young and the Restless. Marvenell was preceded in death by her parents; John and Opal Forsyth, husband of 31years; Floyd Burgess, sisters; Allene White and Dorothy Forsyth, sons-in-law; Greg Nunley, Glen McRee, and Tommy Wright.

Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday June 18, 2025 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 1pm Thursday June 19, 2025 with interment to follow in Bonnertown Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughters; Diane Aymett of Minor Hill, Sandra McRee of Goodspring, Denise Nunley of Rogersville, grandchildren; Greg (Julie), Sharon, Leslie (Joe), Glynda, Chris (Katy), Mandy (Trevor), Lee (Malorie), Brooke (Chevy), Elven great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
