Jessie Mae Martin

Jessie Mae Martin was born in Bethel, Tennessee on March 27, 1936 to the late Millie Smith Randolph and Late Lee Randolph. She came to know Christ early in life and joined the Willow Grove M.B. Church in Bethel, TN. Later in life she moved her membership to Temple of Praise Church under the discipleship of Apostle Stanley R. Garrett where she was a faithful member of the Mother’s Board. Jessie Mae was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved to be around her family. Mother enjoyed cooking and planting flowers, but most of all I think her favorite hobby was shopping. She was truly a jewel and rock to our family and will be truly missed!!

Jessie leaves behind her children, Sharon Holland of Nashville, TN, Wallace Gilbert of Pulaski, TN, Tony (Jocelyn) Gilbert, Tamara Gilbert, and Theresa Gilbert all of Murfreesboro, TN. Step- daughter, Theresa (Alex) Jordan of Ashland City, TN, sister, Alice F. (Marvin) Small of Pulaski, TN. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Jessie is preceded in death be her mother, Millie Smith Randolph, father, Lee Randolph, her lifelong partner, Willard Dean Gilbert, brothers, Clarence, Ed Horace, George Thomas, Frank James Randolph, and Frank Dean Black. Her sisters, Mary R. Nelson, Annie Bell Gilbert and Jimmy Lee Marsh, and Beatrice Coleman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6 th , 2025 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 1:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory with Apostle Stanley Garrett officiating.
