James Richard Watson

James Richard Watson, age 85 of Dellrose, passed away Thursday March 5, 2026 at Pulaski NHC surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was born March 2, 1941 in Frankewing, TN to Werner M. and Mattie McClure Watson. He was a retired bus driver and farmer who loved his cows, watching westerns, especially Bonanza, and sitting on the porch drinking coffee out of his O’Reily’s mug. Jimmy loved his family with his whole heart, his wife, children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter were his everything.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Werner and Mattie Watson, brother Billy Don Watson, step-brother Dale Smith, and half- sister Mildred Fox.

Visitation will be 11am-2 pm Sunday March 8, 2026 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with Funeral to follow at 2pm. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years Barbara Watson of Dellrose, son Mike Watson and wife Dana of Bunker Hill, daughter Melody Harris and husband Ryan of Pigeon Roost, sister Wanda Gowan and husband Glen of Bunker Hill, grandchildren Kayce Scoggins (Bailey), Cole Watson, Ashton McGill (Bethany Hone), great granddaughter Collins Scoggins, numerous other relatives and friends.
