James Michael Wiser, age 59 of Pulaski, passed away Sunday May 31, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Mike was born in Nashville, TN on October 1, 1966 to James Herbert Wiser and Genene Gaines Ulrich. He was a baptized man of Christian faith who proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Mike was extremely proud to work as an engineer for In-Motion Robotics, a role reflected both his intelligence and the strong work ethic that he carried throughout life. He found enjoyment in golfing, watching NASCAR, cheering for UT Sports, and serving as a Little League umpire. Time spent with friends and family, whether on the golf course or at a ball game, were always important to him which he showed by building a life around them. Mike also had a deep devotion to the Elks Lodge and the American Legion where he built lasting friendships, found a strong sense of camaraderie, fellowship and community.
Mike is preceded in death by his father Herbert “Bud” Wiser; mother Genene Ulrich; brother William Jeffrey Wiser.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday June 3, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home.
A second Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with Funeral Services immediately following at 1pm.
Interment will be in Giles Memory Gardens with full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elks Lodge or the American Legion.
Mike is survived by his sister Leigh Ann Wiser Abernathy of Pulaski; nieces Allison Abernathy (Steven Green), Erin Abernathy, and Ashley Abernathy all of Pulaski; great nephew Collin Green of Pulaski; aunt Judy Gaines Looney (Jerry) of Pulaski; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
