Gary Wayne Golden, age 74, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Lawrenceburg. Gary was born on July 26th, 1951 to the late Charles and Geneva Golden. Gary worked for many years as a retail associate for Walmart in Lawrenceburg. In his spare time, he enjoyed treasure hunting, fishing, hunting, collecting relics and sports cards, spending time outdoors with his dog, Rocky, and spending time with his loving family and friends. He was of Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Cathy Louise Golden, and his brothers, Ricky Lee Golden and Tony Golden.
He is survived by his children, Jammie Golden (Pam), Velvet Golden, and Candice Woodward (Ethan); sister, Barbara Gray (James); grandchildren Alishia Cozart (Kaleb), Chelsey Boyd, Breanna Boyd (J.J.), Brandon Davis (Ashly), and Zach Davis (Michelle); great grandchildren, Noah Cozart, Avaleigh Cozart, Titus Cozart, Taylin Davis, Brooklynne Davis, Eli Davis, Trenton Davis, Layla Davis, Mia Davis, Cayden Davis, and Isaac Davis.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Friday, March 20th, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Brother Jeff Burkhart will be officiating.
Interment will be held at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
