Faye Deloris Franklin

    Faye Deloris Franklin, born November 17th , 1947 in Giles County TN., and departed this earthly life peacefully on Sunday, June 8th, 2025 at the family home in Lynnville, TN.

    Faye was affectionately loved by her family and was the third child and second oldest girl of her seven siblings. She attended Bridgeforth School in Pulaski Tn. and was a graduate of Carver Smith High School in Columbia TN. in 1966. Faye was preceded in death by her parents Roger and Jennie Mae Harwell Franklin, brothers-Robert C. Franklin and Roger Dale Franklin, sisters, Jeanet Franklin, and Annie Laura Franklin Armstrong. Faye professed hope in Christ and became a member of Round Hill Missionary Baptist Church, the family home church in Lynnville TN., under the leadership of Pastor George Ridley. She was a faithful member of the church, where she sang in the choir and at one time did the church announcement, attended until her health failed. Faye had a very quiet spirit, and was kind to everyone. She enjoyed music singing and patting her feet to the tunes of gospel and old school. She loved to laugh and it was nothing like a good hardy laugh for her. She enjoyed cooking especially desserts, and being with her family and friends. It was nothing for her and her sisters to prepare dinner every Sunday for the entire family. Faye worked for over 30 years as a family Caregiver with at least 3 different families caring for their family and children. One family whom she continued to have contact. She developed a close bond that continued throughout the rest of her life, is Ms. Molly Ledbetter and family. She also worked at NHC Health Care in the Nutrition Department. Faye will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and love ones.

    She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Jennifer (Joseph) Turner Smyrna Tn., Jureria Davis (Mario) Oakwood, Georgia, and Stephanie Gentry Lewisburg Tn. son Joe Davis, Knoxville TN . Grand children Candace, Quinton, Damien, and Jayden. Great grand Elodie, Alaia, and Jaleel who she affectionately called Jameel. brothers, Raymond Lewis Franklin of Lynnville, TN and Donnell (Jackie) Franklin of Pulaski, TN. Nieces Evelyn (Walter) Partee, Janice Franklin, and Victoria Ray, Nephews Michael Armstrong, and Joseph (Kelly) Franklin, a host of great nieces, nephews, family and friends.

    The visitation will be 11:00am until 12:00pm Saturday, June 14th , 2025, at the Round Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lynnville, Tennessee. The funeral service will follow at 12:00pm, Saturday, June 14th , 2025, at the Round Hill Missionary Baptist Church. The burial will follow in the Everbright Cemetery, Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements for Faye Deloris Franklin.
