
Dora Mae Chapman, age 78 of Pulaski, passed away Monday, June 16,
2025 at STRHS Pulaski.
Dora was born in Giles County, TN on May 23, 1947 to Lum and
Christina Dunnavant Watkins. She was a self-employed caregiver who
dedicated her life to caring for others with compassion and kindness. As
a devoted member of First Baptist Church and her Sunshine class, her
faith was central to her life and guided her in all she did. Dora found joy
in shopping, gardening, and spending precious time visiting with friends
and neighbors. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren..
Dora is preceded in death by her parents; husband JT Chapman; sons
Larry Chapman and Roger White; stepsons Jack Chapman and Steve
Chapman; daughter Teresa Henderson; grandson Johnny Henderson;
three brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by her stepdaughter Judy Chapman of Columbia;
granddaughter Bethany McAnulty (Andrew); granddaughter-in-law
Allison Martin (Cody); great-grandchildren Carter Henderson, Cason
Henderson, and Carlene Elizabeth McAnulty; as well as several dear
friends, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Monday, June 23, 2025 at
Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 2:00
PM. Interment will be in Giles Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be
made to First Baptist Church, Thompson Station Church Children's
Camp Fund, or a charity of your choice.
