Barbara Jean Pitts

Barbara Jean Pitts of Fayetteville, Tennessee passed away Thursday morning, June 19th, 2025 at
Elk River Nursing and Rehab in Fayetteville, Tennessee. She was born on July 11th, 1943 in
Fayetteville, TN. and was 81 years old.

Barbara was a former secretary at Brady Tile and Marble and worked for many years at Lincoln
County Adult Education. She enjoyed bird watching, sewing and crafts. She was of the Baptist
faith and was a member of Park City Baptist Church for many years.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd from 1:00P.M. until 3:00P.M. at Bennett-May &
Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory Funeral service will follow at 3:00pm on Sunday, June 22nd in the chapel of Bennett-May The burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Lady Falcons Softball

She is survived by, Son, Howard (Tracie) Pitts of Taft, TN, Granddaughters, Heather (José) Román of Philadelphia, PA, Halie (Matt) Cantor of Huntsville, AL, Great grandsons, Knox Cantor and Sebastián Román, Sister-in-law, Fay Smith of Fayetteville, TN, Nephew, Troy Smith of Fayetteville, TN, Niece, Tori (Chad) Tipps of Fayetteville, TN, Best friend, Anita Locker of Fayetteville, TN, She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and a host of other friends and relatives.
