Virginia Eudean Johnson

Virginia Eudean Johnson, age 93 of Erwin, TN, passed away on Sunday May 31, 2026 at Ocoee Hillview Heath and Rehab in Elizabethton, TN.
Virginia was born in Giles Co, TN on March 22, 1933 to Verdie Carl Green and Mary Elizabeth Longshore Green. She was employed in Minor Hill Industry until it closed its doors. Virgina was a member of the Church of Christ and found her joy in life’s simple everyday pleasures. Whether she was coloring, doing word searches, listening to gospel music, or spending time in the garden among the flowers, she had peace. Virgina treasured the time she spent with her family most which showed through the care she put into every stitch. As she sewed or crocheted, she carefully crafted everything from doll clothes to quilts and stitched love into every little treasure.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents Verdie and Mary Elizabeth Green; husband Herbert Junior Johnson; daughters Deborah Lee Gray, Kathy Johnson; brother Samuel Carl Green; sister Joyce Evelyn Johnson.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday June 20, 2026 at Minor Hill Cemetery.

Virginia is survived by her son Charles Johnson (Sue) of Erwin; sister Dorothy Hargrave of Chattanooga; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
