Shannon Christi Sue Johns, age 49, of Prospect, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, December 7, in Bradenton, Florida. She was surrounded by her beloved daughters, Shanna and Shanlie, and her sister, Shree. She was born on July 8 in Maury County, Tennessee, to Cecil and Norma Sue Martin. Shannon spent much of her life working outdoors, a way of life that reflected her strength, resilience, and love for nature.
She is survived by her two daughters, Shanna (Dustin) Hill and Shanlie (Peyton) McKnight; her grandson, Henry Hill; her sister, Shree (John) Wright; her sister, Cynthia (Jeff) Bergsdresser; her brother, Chris (Teresa) Martin; her brother, Sammy (Marcella) Hoback; her half brother, Ryan Martin; and family friend, Larry Kelley, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Norma Sue Martin; her husband, Randy Johns; and her brothers, Stanley Hoback and Kenny Hoback.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20, at 1:00 p.m., at the Church of the Living God, located at 22870 Sandlin Road, Elkmont, Alabama 35620. Doug Colwell will be leading the service in memory of Shannon.
