Doris Jean Swanner

Doris Jean Swanner, age 83 of Pulaski, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026 at her
home.
Doris was born May 20, 1943 in Minor Hill, TN to Eugene B. and Nina Bell Woodard
Brewer. Spending time with her family and making memories was her main goal in life.
Doris loved gardening and watching soap operas, but getting dressed up to go out to
eat, riding around, and sharing stories of the past brought her great joy. She was
preceded in death by her parents Gene and Nina Bell Brewer; her husband Floyd
Harvey Swanner, Jr.; daughter Lisa Ann Swanner Taylor; son Michael Dwayne
Swanner; siblings Wilson Brewer, Edith Hargrove, and Kenneth Brewer.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Monday, August 31, 2026 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be at 11am Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Carr & Erwin Funeral
Home with interment to follow in Giles Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her son Phillip Swanner and wife Reneigh of Pulaski; daughter in law
Debra Swanner of Goodspring; grandchildren Matthew Swanner (Kandice), Stevan
Swanner (Jenna), Kody Evans (Stephanie), Kory Evans, Maleah Roberson (Ethan),
Travis Tucker (Aly); great grandchildren Tiffany, Brantley, Savannah, Lisa, Lillian, and
Cirilla.
