GILES COUNTY, Tenn. - Tennessee State Parks are expanding accessibility with the addition of new colorblind viewfinders at T.O. Fuller State Park in Memphis and Roan Mountain State Park in East Tennessee.
These devices use special lenses to help people with red-green colorblindness see a full spectrum of vibrant colors, creating a more inclusive experience for visitors. Another viewfinder will be installed on September 25th at Pickett CCC Memorial State Park through First Lady Maria Lee’s Tennessee Serves program.
The announcement comes during International Colorblindness Awareness Month and brings the total number of Tennessee State Parks with colorblind viewfinders to 12.
State officials say the program is part of ongoing efforts to ensure all visitors can fully enjoy the natural beauty of Tennessee’s parks.
