GILES COUNTY, Tenn. — The Giles County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 9 A.M., for its regular session.
Agenda items include approval of previous meeting minutes, public comments, recognition of the Employee of the Quarter, and reports from Economic Development Director Phil Reese and county department heads.
Commissioners are expected to discuss EMS fleet needs, courthouse design and security, subdivision standards, airport authority matters, and multiple financial and departmental reports.
The agenda also includes notary elections, several contracts and grant agreements, budget amendments, and a series of resolutions. Among those are proposals related to tourism funding, establishment of the Abernathy Field Airport Authority, and authorization for the potential issuance of up to $8.5 million in general obligation public improvement bonds.
The meeting is open to the public.
