GILES COUNTY, Tenn. - Tennessee has once again claimed the top spot in the Heritage Foundation’s Election Integrity Scorecard, marking the fourth consecutive year the Volunteer State has ranked number one nationwide.
Officials credit Tennessee’s strong voter ID laws, secure ballot procedures, and bipartisan oversight. Secretary of State Tre Hargett praised the recognition, saying Tennessee makes it “easy to vote and hard to cheat.”
Local election leaders across all 95 counties say the ranking reflects the tireless work of election commissions and their commitment to ensuring elections remain accurate, transparent, and secure.
