GILES COUNTY, Tenn. - The Tennessee Higher Education Commission has launched College Application and Exploration Month this September, encouraging high school seniors to apply early for the Tennessee Promise scholarship.
The Tennessee Promise program provides tuition-free opportunities at the state’s community colleges, technical colleges, and some four-year institutions. While the deadline to apply is November 3, 2025, officials say students who apply early have the best chance to take advantage of the scholarship.
Throughout the month, schools across Tennessee are hosting events and sharing free resources to guide families through the application process. Materials include grade-level “Next Guides,” application fee waivers, and video tutorials.
Families can find more information and apply online at CollegeforTN.org
