Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance is celebrating fire service across southern Middle Tennessee.
More than $950,000 in grants were awarded to 23 fire departments serving Maury, Giles, Lawrence, Perry, Wayne, and Hickman counties. The funding comes through the Volunteer Firefighter Equipment and Training (VFEAT) and Rescue Squad grant programs.
Officials say the support will strengthen fire service, improve equipment, and enhance emergency response across the region.
