PULASKI, Tenn. - The City of Pulaski has earned statewide recognition for its recent growth and improvements, receiving the 2025 Small City Progress Award from the Tennessee Municipal League (TML).
The award celebrates the city’s commitment to infrastructure upgrades, public safety enhancements, and quality-of-life improvements. Highlights include downtown revitalization with new sidewalks, curbs, and water lines, and the introduction of “Skating on the Square,” a seasonal attraction that has drawn families and boosted local business.
In addition, Pulaski has added new tennis and pickleball courts at Magazine Road Park and partnered with UT Southern to develop a splash park where an aging swimming pool once stood.
Public safety upgrades include the installation of license-plate reading cameras at key intersections and new traffic signals with pedestrian alerts to make city streets safer. Pulaski has also secured over $2 million in grant funding for water infrastructure and is currently constructing a $30 million TCAT campus to further economic development and workforce training.
City officials accepted the award on August 5 during the TML Conference in Chattanooga.
