PULASKI, Tenn. - The Pulaski Police Department and members of the Criminal Investigations Unit are investigating a shooting that left one man injured on Wednesday.
According to police, officers responded to reports of shots fired near McGrew and Alexander Street. Police say they located a 34-year-old man with non-life threatening injuries. Giles EMS treated the victim at the scene.
Officials say during the investigation, officers gathered information that led them to a residence at 839 Brown Drive, where officers took 48-year-old Marcus Orlando Williams into custody.
He was taken to the Giles County Jail. Officials say he faces multiple charges including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, felon in possession of firearm, evading arrest and resisting arrest. He is currently being held without bond pending a court appearance.
According to authorities, the investigation remains active, and additional arrests may be possible. The case is being led by Pulaski Police Department Investigator Lake Foster.
The Pulaski Police Department expressed appreciation to the Giles County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for their assistance in the case.
