GILES COUNTY, Tenn. - As animal shelters across the region continue to operate at full capacity, local leaders are urging the community to get involved in ways that go beyond adoption. Fostering is one of the most effective ways to help, whether it’s for a weekend, overnight, or until the pet is adopted. Foster homes not only give animals a much-needed break from the shelter environment but also help them learn valuable social skills that make them more adoptable.
