PULASKI, Tenn. — The Giles County NAACP is proud to sponsor a “Learn to Live” community event at the Giles County Senior Center, in partnership with the Giles County Sheriff’s Office, Pulaski Police Department, and Giles EMS.
This informative and interactive program is designed to strengthen relationships between community members and local law enforcement. The goal is to foster understanding, promote respectful interactions, and educate attendees about their rights during encounters with law enforcement.
Participants will experience real-life scenario demonstrations led by law enforcement officers, providing practical guidance on what to expect and how to respond in various situations. In addition, Giles EMS will lead a “Stop the Bleed” workshop, teaching participants how to administer life-saving aid in the event of a serious bodily injury.
The Learn to Live event will be held Friday, November 1st, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Giles Senior Center, located at 100 Senior Citizen Drive in Pulaski.
Organizers encourage everyone to attend this empowering and educational experience focused on safety, communication, and community connection.
