GILES COUNTY, Tenn. — Longtime community leader Knox Vanderpool has officially announced his candidacy for Giles County Executive in the upcoming 2026 election.
Vanderpool, who has spent more than 30 years leading in various roles—including athletics, ministry, education, and public service—says his commitment to investing in others has been at the heart of his work.
For the past six years, Vanderpool has served as Chairman of the Giles County School Board. He says that experience has provided him with valuable insight into the inner workings of local government and deepened his dedication to serving the county.
Vanderpool’s campaign emphasizes financial responsibility, long-range planning, and a commitment to local values. He says he wants to help guide Giles County into its next phase of growth.
The election for Giles County Executive will be held in 2026.
