GILES COUNTY, Tenn. — Giles County is preparing for a week packed with agriculture, community, and celebration as the annual Here’s the Beef Ag Week kicks off Saturday, August 2nd, and runs through Saturday, August 9th.
The weeklong series of events begins with the Miss Here’s the Beef Pageant, youth 4-H entries, poultry and sheep shows, and the popular 5 Mile Stampede. Each day features activities aimed at celebrating local agriculture and rural life.
Highlights include:
Farm-to-Table Dinner and Ag Park Farmer’s Market on Tuesday
Ag Impact Breakfast and Praise in the Park on Wednesday
AgriLympics Competition and Local Farmer Jerky Day on Thursday
Fourth Grade Farm Day and the On-Foot Rodeo on Friday
And on Saturday, August 9th — a full day of events with the Antique Tractor Show, multiple farmer’s markets, food trucks, live bluegrass music, and the grand finale: the Here’s the Beef Rodeo.
Organizers say the week is designed to highlight the importance of agriculture while bringing the community together through fun, family-friendly events.
