GILES COUNTY, Tenn. — Giles County Fire Rescue responded to a reported explosion and heavy smoke around 4 p.m. Friday in the York Hollow Road area, according to officials.
While en route, crews were advised the call had been upgraded to a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found two garages fully engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading into surrounding grass and wooded areas. Strong winds in the area contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
Emergency crews remained on scene for approximately four hours working to contain the blaze.
Both structures were declared a total loss. No injuries were reported.
Multiple agencies assisted in the response, including Giles County EMS, the Giles County Sheriff’s Office, Pulaski Fire Department, Minor Hill Fire Department, Giles County Rehab Unit, Giles County Office of Emergency Management, and Giles County E-911.
