Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Pulaski is proud to share that Jenny Waybright, RN has been recognized with The DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses.
The award is part of the DAISY Foundation's programs to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.
Jenny, who has served patients and families at STRHS Pulaski for more than 20 years, was nominated after demonstrating exceptional compassion for some of the hospital’s youngest patients. After learning that a child arrived in the Emergency Department with only a diaper and no clothing, Jenny was deeply moved by the situation. Wanting to ensure children in similar circumstances would be cared for in the future, she took action beyond the expectations of her role.
With the support of her church community, Jenny gathered funds and purchased children’s clothing to keep at the hospital for future needs. She organized totes filled with clothing that are now available in house to support pediatric patients who may arrive without appropriate belongings.
