For those who may be headed to East Tennessee for Vacation or a visit...Here's a little head's-up
from TDOT.
Motorists traveling on US 441 (State Route 71) in Sevier County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have an impact on traffic.
Resurfacing activities have begun on US 441 (State Route 71) between the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Dudley Creek in Gatlinburg. One lane will be closed between 7pm and 7am Sunday through Thursday nights, and between 11pm and 8am on Friday and Saturday nights.
All resurfacing activities are expected to be complete on or before June 30th, 2026.
This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
