Starbucks has selected downtown Nashville as the location for its new Southeast corporate office.
Starbucks will invest $100 million to expand its North American presence by locating a Southeast corporate office in Music City, according to authorities.
Starbucks has major plans for Nashville, where it will employ up to 2,000 people over the next several years to serve in a variety of corporate-related operations.
The Starbucks office will be located in the Peabody Union building, which is located along the south bank of the Cumberland River. Starbucks signed a lease for all 250,000 square feet of office space in the building.
According to the Department of Economic and Community Development, the Nashville office will directly support continued coffeehouse expansion and rising customer demand, particularly in the southeastern U.S., while working closely with the company’s global headquarters in Seattle.
