The Giles County Sheriff's Department would like to make the public aware of a recent speed limit change on Blooming Grove Road.
Residents in the area of Blooming Grove Road recently petitioned the county to reduce the speed limit to 35 miles per hour, and that request has been approved. New signage is currently being installed to notify motorists of the updated speed limit.
Please remember that Blooming Grove Road is not only traveled by vehicles, but is also frequently used by residents for walking, exercising, and walking their dogs. We ask that all motorists use caution, remain attentive, and obey posted speed limits, not only on Blooming Grove Road, but everywhere.
