The City of Pulaski would like to encourage everyone to share the road and watch out for one another.
As e-bikes, electric scooters, and pedestrian activity become more common in our community, safe riding and driving habits are important for everyone.
For e-bikes, there are 3 classes, pedal, motor assisted, and pedal assited with motor assisted stopping, each has restrictions that the operator needs to be aware of and adhere to. For class 3 e-bikes no one under 16 can operated a class 3 e-bike.
For electric scooters, these devices weigh less that 100 pounds, and should have a top speed of no more that 20 MPH. Riding rules for electric scooter vary by location, and the operator should be framiliar with those rule before operating.
Safety Reminders for all e-bikes and scooters include wearing a helmet & safety equipment, obeying traffic signals, signs, and speed limits. Watching for pedestrians, and other riders, using extreme caution on or near roadways and intersections, and never riding while imapired in any way.
