The weather is the main story of the week, with daily temperatures between 93 to 96 degrees, and throw in the humidity,
heat indexes between 105 to 110 degrees, we're currently under an extreme heat advisory.
Please take frequent breaks, drink plenty of water, and try to schedule you outdoor work or activities in the early morning or
late evening.
Just a few tips for this weather event...Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, those symptoms include...excessive heavy sweating, pale, cool, and clammy skin, dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, nausea, and vomiting, weak and rapid pulse, or low blood pressure upon standing, muscle cramps, fatigue, extreme thirst, and irritability.
