Giles County Football Coach David O’Connor is moving on....
O’Connor is leaving Giles County after 10 seasons and will take over the reigns at Hazel Green, Alabama.
For O’Connor, the move makes sense. He lives close by, and he'll be closer to home as retirement gets closer.
O'Conner's record with the Bobcats is an impressive 150 wins and 67 losses, with a State Championship in 2009.
This past fall, the Bobcats advanced to the Class 3A state quarterfinals and finished 9-4.
The Giles County Bobcat Football Coaching position will now be open until the next Head Coach is selected, though several
assistant coaches are planning on staying with the program
