During the regular session of the Giles County Commission on April 20th, County Executive Graham Stowe announced the county’s latest Employee of the Quarter honoree.
Lt. Chad Townsend of the Giles County Sheriff’s Department was recognized for his service and leadership, particularly in his role overseeing maintenance operations at the county jail, which houses approximately 150 inmates.
According to Stowe, Townsend has been instrumental in identifying and implementing practical solutions to improve conditions and efficiency within the facility. Those efforts have not only enhanced operations at the jail, but have also resulted in cost savings for the department and local taxpayers.
Townsend’s recognition highlights the impact of behind-the-scenes work that helps keep county services running effectively while being mindful of public resources.
