Congratulations to former Giles County Bobcat ace Ben Peoples on getting called-up to the big leagues.
The Texas Rangers selected the contract of the right-hander from Triple-A Round Rock, putting him in line to make his Major League debut.
Peoples was acquired by the Rangers earlier this week from the White Sox organization in exchange for minor league catcher Ben Hartl. Before the trade, he was dominant at Triple-A Charlotte, posting a 2.39 ERA and 1.09 WHIP over 37.2 innings this season with a 5 win and 1 loss record.
A well-earned opportunity for one of Giles Counties own.
