County Commission Meeting (9/21)

The next Giles County Commission Meeting will be Monday, September 21st @ 5pm...

On the agenda for the meeting...Preliminaries, Approval of Minutes of the August 17, 2026, Regular Session of the Giles County Legislative Body, Public Comments, the County Executive and Department Head Reports, EDC Director - Phil Reese will speak, and EMS Director - Walter Daugherty will speak.

Then, Elections for Chairman, Chairman Pro Tem, and Chaplain. Notaries Public at Large and Renewals, Committee Assignments, Election of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, & Recording Secretary of Committees and Additional Boards & Commissions. Election of the County Attorney, then updates on the Water Alliance, Agri-Park, Ag-Extension, the Opioid Board, Giles County Water Alliance, Public Records Commission, Beer Board, Medical Examiner, and the County Historian.

Note....The Chair will ensure time for public comment at the commencement of open discussion/prior to voting. Members of the public are limited to 5 minutes.

The updates on Reports, the Budget, Contracts, Agreements, & Grants, Amendments & Resolutions, and finally any Unfinished Business and or New Business.
