The Campbellsville Area Association is looking for ice cream makers ready to compete in the annual Campbellsville Ice Cream Churn-Off Friday, June 27th.
The event begins at 7pm at the Campbellsville United Methodist Church Community Pavilion. Everyone is welcome to bring lawn chairs, enjoy an evening of homemade ice cream and support local community events.
Anyone who wants to make a freezer of ice cream for the competition is invited to participate. Churners may make as many churns as they want and may enter any kind or flavor of ice cream. Organizers ask participants to let them know how many churns they plan to bring.
Guests may pay $5 to taste as much ice cream as they want, then vote for their favorites. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit Campbellsville Area Association and help fund free community events, including the Campbellsville Heritage Festival in October and the Christmas Tree Lighting in November.
Those interested in entering the competition may email campbellsvilletennessee@gmail.com or call +1 (931) 478-6898. Everyone else, make plans now to join in the fun and eat some Ice Cream.
