The Giles County Commission will meet March 18th, 2024. The agenda includes approval of minutes of the February 20th, 2024, Regular Session.
The Giles County Economic Development Commissioner will address the commission, the elections will take place for Notaries Public at Large, New notaries and Renewals.
The commission will elect 3 members for 2 year terms to the Equalization Board, Present members are, Eastern Division, Burgess F. Guinn, Western Division, Roger L. Devore; Pulaski Division, Robert Brindley, Jr.
The commission will hear reports from the Finance Director for January, 2024, including the Giles County General Fund, Drug, American Rescue Plan, Probation Fund, Highway, School, Federal, Food Service, Debt Service, Capital Projects, Highway Capital Projects, Education Capital Projects, Education Capital #2 and other Capital Projects.
Also on the agenda is the Audit Committee Meeting Minutes January 23, 2024, Code of Ethics, Giles County, Tennessee, Giles County Ethics Rules of Procedure, Grants, Agreements, and Contracts including TN Law Enforcement Hiring, Training and Recruitment Program, Governmental Grant Contract for the Sheriff's Department for Tuition assistance for the TN Law Enforcement Training Academy, Sheriff Department, Transportation of Mental Health Patients Grant, ARP Local Health Capital Investment Grant, then several resolutions & amendments including Authorizing an amendment of the 2023-2024 Budget, County General Fund 101, and Authorizing an amendment of the 2023-2024 Budget for the Highway Fund 131 to rescind Resolutions 2017-41 and 2017-42.
