James Milton Hale, age 85, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. He was a native of Clinton, AR, a retired salesman, and attended House of Prayer. 
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Elmer and Zena Mae Pruitt Hale; his wife, Margaret Hale; one daughter, Terry Hale; one son, Chris Hale; step-daughter, Marcia Wylie; and seven brothers, Harman Hale, Jess Hale, Cecil Hale, Larry Hale, Donnie Hale, Daniel Hale, and Mikel Hale.
 
He is survived by four daughters, Terena Renison (Dan) of Chandler, AZ, Melissanne Hampton (Jason) of Bradenton, FL, Teresa Terhorst (Adrian) of Lewisburg, TN. and Melanie Blackmon (Chuck) of Dothan, AL; one son, Curtis Hale of Springfield, MO; three brothers, Jimmy Hale of Columbia, TN, Alpha Hale of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Lonnie Hale of Monroe, OK; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two step-sons, Lance Wylie (Mary Beth) and Steve Moore (Kristy), both of Waynesboro, TN.
 
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 14, 2021, with Ronnie Runnels officiating.  Interment will follow at a later date at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, OK.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
