Cynthia Jane Pierce Hollander, 75, of Pulaski died May 20, 2024, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born July 21, 1948, in Knoxville. She graduated from Decatur High School in Alabama and received a degree at MTSU as a registered nurse.

Cynthia spent her entire career working in open heart surgery at Saint Thomas Hospital, as well as many facilities around the country as a travel nurse. She was a lifelong lover of animals, especially horses, and books.

She is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Viola Pierce.

Survivors include husband Eugene Hollander of Pulaski, a sister Cathy Pierce Curry of Pulaski, brother-in-law Carroll Curry of Pulaski, niece Elizabeth Winterburn of Pulaski, nephew Clay Curry of Culleoka, special friend Dan Brown of Decatur, AL, and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial donations in her honor to be made to the Giles County Humane Association or the Giles County Public Library.
