Edgar Albert “Sonny” Sutton of Goodspring, Tennessee passed away on Friday, April 12th, 2024,  at his home in Giles County.  He was born in Osteen, Florida on November 2nd, 1945 and was 78 years old.

Sonny was a proud US Marine, a member of the of the Elks Lodge #1827 and the American Legion Post 60. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. Sonny was all about his family and cherished the time spent with them. He was a mechanic all his life.

The visitation will be 4:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 1:00pm Thursday, April 18th, 2024, in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Johnson officiating.

The burial with full military honors will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents Edgar Burton and Eileen Spots Sutton. His sister Florence Sutton. His granddaughter Victoria Sutton along with his grandson Aaron Rouse.

He is survived by,

His wife Cheryl Sutton of Goodspring, Tennessee.

Son, Scott Sutton of California.

Daughter, Heather (Ruben) Castillo of Texas.

Son, Ronnie (Lisa) Sutton of Minor Hill, Tennessee.

Son, Ricky Sutton and Roxanne Stephens of Virginia.

Son, Chad Sutton of Arkansas.

Son, Jimmy Rouse of Arkansas.

Daughter, Tracy Rouse of Arkansas.

Daughter, Carrie (Donnie) Coyle of Florida.

Daughter, Casie (Josh) Matthews of Florida.

9 grandchildren along with 5 great-grandchildren also survive.

Honorary sons, J. P. Patton and Delo Skeen.

Sisters, Shirley Langston, Alice Langston, Helen (Eddy) Dominy of Florida.

Brothers, Chuck (Linda) Sutton, Louis (Liz) Sutton, Mark (Deanne) Sutton and Johnny Sutton all of Florida.

Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
